YOUR SOCIETY YOUR MUSIC
We provide a platform that allows everyone to enjoy and have an impact on the blues, not only where we live but beyond. Our mission takes on several facets but first and foremost our objective is to “support music education” with a focus on the blues genre’.
The Southwest Florida Blues Society was incorporated in March of 2011 and then a few months later became a federally recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Mission Statement:
“The Southwest Florida Blues Society, is dedicated to fostering the growth and appreciation of blues music through education, support for artists, and the promotion of blues venues and our active business members.
Our resources, (your donations and the monies raised from our events and fundraisers) are utilized right here in Southwest Florida. We continue to work in conjunction with the Blues Foundation as an Affiliate Member to support and promote our local musicians with an the opportunity to be seen on a worldwide stage, during the Memphis IBC (International Blues Challenge).
